Short Story Competition about Space Exploration - registration form - UNIVERSEH

 

UNIVERSEH, the European Space University for Earth and Humanity, is delighted to organize a Short story competition about space exploration following the Drawing Contest: Comic Strips about Space Exploration organized by the University of Namur last fall 2025.
 

This contest is open to residents of the UNIVERSEH countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, and Sweden.

 

Practical Information:
 

Theme: The submitted short story must be based on one of the four comic strips winners resulting from the "Space Exploration" comic strips competition organized by the University of Namur and available here:  [Link to the four comic strips] 
Use one of these 4 comic strips as inspiration to create your story, beyond the limits of language and words!

Audience: The contest is open to residents of the UNIVERSEH countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Sweden

Language: The use of foreign languages is encouraged. Dialogues can be written in the following languages: French, English, Luxembourgish, German, Polish, Italian, and Swedish.

Three participant categories:
Mercury (10-14 years old) -  6,000 to 10,000 characters including spaces
- Jupiter (15-18 years old) - 8,000 to 12,000 characters including spaces
- Neptune (19 years old and older) - 10,000 to 15,000 characters, including spaces

Prizes: Gift vouchers for the winners, opportunities to be exhibited at events.

Calendar: Submit your short story by the 28 of June 2026 at 23:59.

The personal data requested are your first name, last name, email address, the name of your affiliated institution or organization, and your role or position.

Your personal data is processed in order to manage your registration and participation in the event.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is your consent (article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

 

4. RETENTION PERIOD

Data will be retained for no longer than 2 years after the end of the event, unless required otherwise by legal or administrative obligations.

If you agree to receive further communications from us, your contact data may be kept for up to three (3) years after your last interaction with us, in accordance with CNIL guidelines.
