Dive into Star Wars’ universe and its creator, George Lucas, from a perspective you’ve never experienced before by attending the talk A Look At Life: Poetics of George Lucas on January 28 2026 at 6 pm – Online.

This talk is elaborated and animated by Aleksandar Joksimović, Associate Professor of Integrated Propulsion System Design at ISAE-SUPAERO. As a science-fiction enthusiast, Aleksandar Joksimović invites us to reflect on how the imaginary worlds echo our own in his upcoming talk:

If there is a story that established space as an arena for modern popular imagination, it is George Lucas’s « Star Wars » saga. On the stellar canvas, Lucas painted a meticulously crafted story to convey a vital message for the unprecedentedly complex global humanity - one of reconciliation of the individuals’ urge for self-realisation and the collective need for belonging and solidarity.

In this talk we will explore both the form and the content of Lucas’s modern myth to reveal how a deeply ecological philosophy can inform the creative process just as much as the creation itself.

The personal data requested are your first name, last name, email address, the name of your affiliated institution or organization, and your role or position.

4. RETENTION PERIOD

Data will be retained for no longer than 6 (six) months after the end of the event, unless required otherwise by legal or administrative obligations.

If you agree to receive further communications from us, your contact data may be kept for up to three (3) years after your last interaction with us, in accordance with CNIL guidelines.

Your personal data is held on the servers of ISAE-SUPAERO in France. For the use of the videoconferencing app Zoom, data is processed in the EU, as part of Zoom EU geolocalisation.
